Zev Underwood v. Golden Rock Dog, L.L.C., et al.

March 1, 2025

In the case of Zev Underwood v. Golden Rock Dog, L.L.C., et al., Aubrey Corwin, M.S., L.P.C., C.R.C., C.L.C.P. was retained by Defense counsel to provide an expert opinion on the Plaintiff’s claims for lost potential earning capacity, wages, and future medical care costs. The incident in question took place at a rock climbing gym, where the Plaintiff was seated on the floor when another climber fell from the climbing wall approximately 25–30 feet above, landing on him. Plaintiff alleged a wide range of injuries and sought significant compensation for their purported long-term impact. As part of her expert analysis, Ms. Corwin conducted a thorough assessment of the Plaintiff’s educational and vocational history, earning capacity, and claimed limitations, as well as the cost of his projected future medical care. In her Earning Capacity Evaluation and Assessment of Future Care Needs, it was noted with the support of Defense-retained medical experts, and in line with Plaintiff’s treating physicians, that Mr. Underwood had no objective limitations to preclude him from completing his education and engaging in meaningful employment, nor did he have any future care needs related to the subject accident. Ms. Corwin was preparing to testify at trial when the case settled.

While the settlement details were confidential, our retaining attorney’s office had this to say about Ms. Corwin: “Her work was definitely beneficial to the proceedings, and the client was pleased with the outcome.”
