Aubrey Corwin, M.S., L.P.C., C.R.C., C.L.C.P., was engaged to develop an Earning Capacity Evaluation and Life Care Plan for the Plaintiff in this case, William Boren. Mr. Boren sustained cervical and lumbar spine injuries in a rear-end motor vehicle accident, requiring two spinal fusion surgeries. Despite these procedures, he continued to experience chronic neck and back pain, which impacted his ability to perform daily activities and maintain his role as a transportation supervisor. Through a clinical interview with the Plaintiff and conferences with his physicians, details about his day-to-day functioning and need for future care became apparent. His treating orthopedic surgeon outlined several potential treatment options, including additional surgeries. Our team created a comprehensive Life Care Plan, detailing the costs of Mr. Boren’s future medical care for the remainder of his life expectancy. Additionally, given the limitations resulting from his injuries, we identified alternative vocational paths should he be unable to return to his previous profession.
Armed with our expert opinions, the retaining attorney used our findings in settlement negotiations and successfully secured a favorable resolution before the case proceeded to trial. Upon conclusion of the matter, they said, “Thank you so much for all of your help throughout the case – it is very much appreciated.”
