Paris Inman-Clark v. The Neiman Marcus Group LLC, et al.

January 9, 2025

Michele J. Albers, M.S., L.P.C., C.R.C., C.L.C.P., Vocational and Life Care Planning Expert, was retained by Defense counsel at Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads LLP, to conduct an Earning Capacity Evaluation for the Plaintiff, a model who alleged post-concussive symptoms and a brain injury after a large piece of artwork fell on her head during a fashion show. During the course of our retention, Ms. Albers provided a written report and a supplemental letter with rebuttal opinions to the Plaintiff-retained expert. She then testified at trial in Philadelphia, PA, where the Plaintiff presented a multi-million dollar demand, emphasizing significant claims for loss of earnings and pain and suffering. However, the jury awarded only one-sixth of the boarded economic damages, a result attributed in large part to the strength of our expert analysis and report. Defense counsel viewed this outcome as positive in light of the Plaintiff’s boarded amount. At the conclusion of the case, our retaining attorney said the following: “We thank you so much for your help, for all of your time (including travel to Philadelphia for the Daubert hearing), and for educating us on all of the vocational issues in this case.”
