C.O. – Pre-litigation Wrongful Death Case

June 6, 2025

Michele Albers, M.S., L.P.C., C.R.C., C.L.C.P., was retained by Plaintiff as the vocational expert in a Wisconsin wrongful death case involving a truck versus pedestrian accident that resulted in the death of a 39-year-old man. She was asked to prepare a loss of earnings calculation on behalf of the decedent’s widow to submit with a demand package prior to the statute of limitations expiring. As part of her evaluation, Ms. Albers conducted a clinical interview with the Plaintiff’s widow to gather information regarding the decedent’s vocational background, and reviewed the decedent’s employment, tax, and military records to establish his earning capacity but for death. Plaintiff’s counsel was able to favorably settle this matter before filing, noting “Her work made all the difference. I can say a comfortable 7 figure amount.”
