M.G.H. v. CAS Trucking, et al.

September 18, 2025

Vocational Diagnostics, Inc. was retained by defense counsel in a New Mexico case involving a Plaintiff injured in a trucking accident. The Plaintiff alleged multiple orthopedic injuries, including a right shoulder injury, along with ongoing spinal and back pain.

Aubrey Corwin, M.S., L.P.C., C.R.C., C.L.C.P., serving as the Defense vocational expert, reviewed the Plaintiff-retained vocational expert’s opinion that the Plaintiff could not return to his prior work capacity due to pain. Ms. Corwin also identified that the Plaintiff’s economist treated the Plaintiff as totally disabled without adequate supporting evidence and offered vocational opinions outside of their professional scope.

Through detailed analysis and well-supported rebuttal opinions, VDI’s work contributed to a strong defense position. The matter concluded with a favorable settlement for the defense. Our retaining attorney noted, “Yes, thank you and Ms. Corwin for your work and cooperation. The terms of settlement are confidential, but her report and the other expert reports were very helpful in moving this case to resolution.”

At VDI, we provide credible, evidence-based vocational evaluations that identify unsupported claims and strengthen our referral sources’ cases.
