Reasonableness of Cost of Care Analysis

Given our experience, we have the ability to review medical billing records to determine if the charges were usual, customary, and reasonable (UCR). The usual, customary and reasonable (UCR) charge is typically the amount billed for a medical service or item in a geographic area based on what providers in the area usually charge for the same or similar medical service or item. It is generally recognized, however, that there is no universally accepted definition of a UCR charge.
