Legal Nurse Consultant / Medical Records Review

With a comprehensive nursing career inclusive of pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, home health care, cardiovascular intensive care, COVID-19 intensive care, and now perioperative nursing, Mackenzie was well prepared and motivated to pursue endeavors complementary to the clinical field.

Mackenzie trekked to the medical-legal terrain last year and discovered the VDI team shortly after. Mackenzie settled into studying to support her legal nurse consulting work and has since pursued additional education in life care planning. Mackenzie’s master’s degree in nursing education and diverse clinical background makes her well-prepared to teach at any audience level and have first-hand experience with many case materials. Mackenzie prides herself on evaluating big pictures in a multifaceted way, asking a lot of ‘why’s,’ and finding answers in fact.

Mackenzie is a Colorado native and currently enjoys the Western Slope where she lives with her growing family. When she is not negotiating her babies to bedtime, she enjoys getting lost in a book or cooking a gourmet meal with her husband. Mackenzie is excited to be part of VDI’s team and their collaboration to excellence.
