Kathryn McKenzie Dillon, ‘Katy Mac’, is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and Certified Life Care Planner, (CLCP.) She earned her Master of Education Degree from Auburn University focused on Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. In her early career, she worked for state government as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and was responsible for developing and implementing detailed and comprehensive individualized employment plans for adults with a wide range of physical and psychological disabilities. Additionally, she worked with students with disabilities in transition to evaluate future training needs and enhanced independent living services.
Katy Mac later worked as a vocational consultant completing vocational evaluations in areas of workers compensation, personal injury, and divorce. She has experience reviewing medical records, completing earning capacity evaluations, and performing research on complex life care plans. She has been accepted by the Social Security Administration as a vocational expert and has testified in thousands of social security hearings regarding vocational issues. Katy Mac has also completed hundreds of Total Disability Individual Unemployability (TDIU) vocational evaluations which evaluate a veteran’s ability to perform substantial gainful work activity considering their service-connected conditions.
Katy Mac resides in Birmingham, AL with her husband, daughter, and two lively chocolate labs. When not working, she enjoys baking, exercising, reading, listening to podcasts, and spending time with friends and family.
